Questions and answers

No. You can use the free plan forever.
But the free plan is mostly meant to give a taste of the full experience and thus has some limitations. One of which is when viewing your entries on the Today page, you will only see entries from the last two years (and the current year if it exists). On any other date, you will see only one entry (if there is one for that date).
To unlock all features and have full access to your entries, a subscription is required.
No. All your entries are always kept in our database. Nothing is lost.
You can always export your complete archive from your account page. To see all your entries directly in the app you need to be on the paid plan.
When you subscribe you will have access to all features for one full year.
One month before that year is passed we will send you a reminding email to announce the auto-renewal of the subscription. That means if you do nothing your subscription will be automatically renewed for another year and your payment method will be charged again.
Yes. There is an option to purchase lifetime access.
You pay once and you have access to all features and your personal history forever.
Anytime. Even immediately after subscribing you can cancel right away.
Still the amount paid is not refundable, also not partly and your status as a subscriber will last a full year.
When you cancel your subscription, you will retain access to premium features until the end of your current billing cycle. But after that, things will change. Here is how:
All your existing entries and books will be kept in out database. Nothing is lost. But you will be only able to write new entries into one of your books, the one you have defined as your default. If it had a custom title and / or prompt both will be shown in their default version which is the same for every free user.
When you open your Today page you will see only entries from the last two years (and the current year if it exists). On any other date you will see only one entry (if there is one for this date). This is true for all of your books that existed while you were a subscriber. You can read in all of your books, but writing is limited to your default book only.
Since this is your personal data you will always be able to download your complete archive. Go to your account page and find the option to export your data.
But here on the app itself, yes, if you don’t renew your subscription you only see a limited amount of entries as described above. The free plan is designed to give you a taste of the full experience, but not the complete access that comes with a subscription.
Definitely! You can renew your subscription anytime even before the downgrade to the free plan happens when you are still in your last paid billing cycle.
No matter when you resubscribe, the new one-year billing cycle will start from that date when you resubscribe.
If you renew the subscription before the free plan became active on your account all book titles and prompts will just stay as they are. If your account changed already to the free plan and you saw the default title and prompt on it, they will automatically come back to how you set them in your earlier subscription period.
All older entries will be readable again on any date.
